Supercar show for a great cause

We were extremely proud to take part in Supercar Driver’s ‘Supercar Experience’ at Meadowhall, which was held in aid of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

Rain didn’t stop play at the South Yorkshire shopping centre, as thousands of people descended upon the show to see the fantastic line-up of more than 80 Porsches, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Aston Martins and more.

We pledged our support by making a £500 donation to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and displayed a selection of cars, including one vehicle – a Bluebell Wood, Supercar Driver and John Holland-branded Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG – inside the malls near Sports Direct.

The event saw appearances from some of the most exciting and rarest cars on the road today, with displays by Supercar Driver members as well as ourselves brightening up a soggy day in Sheffield.

Supercar Driver, which co-hosted the event with Meadowhall and ourselves, is the most comprehensive platform for Supercar Owners in the UK.

The ‘Supercar Experience’ was a free supercar show which featured opportunities to enjoy a passenger ride in a car of your dreams courtesy of Sporting Bears, a dedicated group of classic and sports car enthusiasts who have the sole aim of raising money for children’s charities.

Adam Thorby, director of Supercar Driver, said: “We were delighted to have John Holland’s support for this fantastic event, and we were happy to see so many members take part, displaying of some of the most exciting cars on the road today.

“We’re already optimistic that it can be repeated next year to the same level of success. We’re proud of how good the turn-out was for the event, both by our members and the general public, and of course it’s always great to support a cause as good as Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.”

Mark Holland, Managing Director at John Holland said: “We were excited to take part in this event, which was all for a fantastic cause.

“It was a brilliant experience for everyone who came along. If you haven’t already, donate what you can to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice via their website.”
