John Holland is proud to be a long-term supporter of the charity Think Jessica.
The Think Jessica campaign was started by Jessica's daughter Marilyn Baldwin in 2007 after five years of struggling to find help for her mother who was being targeted by scam mail criminals.
Her aim was to educate others about the powerful psychology criminals use to trap their targets and make them understand how this is strong enough to turn them against their loved ones and those trying to help them.
Think Jessica became a registered charity in 2011 and is supported by
countless agencies, organisations, police forces nationwide, and of
course John Holland.
It remains committed to making people aware of the danger and financial implications caused by postal and telephone scams, educating professionals and protecting the most vulnerable members of our society from illegal practices.
Marilyn was awarded ITV’s Lorraine Kelly’s “Woman of the Year” in 2013 and received a very well deserved OBE in 2014, where we sponsored the Rolls Royce used on the day to ensure that Marilyn arrived in style.
Marilyn said: "Think Jessica can alert up to 22,000 victims a day and gets reports of losses up to £1million a week.
“When I started working with the MPS and operation sterling the work we were able to do jointly meant that we were able to reach many more potential victims as well as target offenders, saving thousands of victims from losing millions of pounds.”
Marilyn has worked tirelessly for the ‘Think Jessica’ campaign and we are very proud to sponsor them. We urge people to visit their website, which can be found here.
