As a business, we take our corporate social responsibility very seriously and we pride ourselves on giving as much back to the community as possible.
Therefore we are proud to welcome The Children’s Hospital Charity in Sheffield as one of our chosen charities, alongside Think Jessica and Kids ‘n’ Cancer.
Over the past 12 months we have donated a total in excess of £10,000 to local charitable causes, and our sponsorship of Sheffield United has also allowed us to get involved in various charity events, such as the annual Christmas visits to organisations such as Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, and the Club’s 125th anniversary dinner where we donated £5,000 to Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.
Mark Holland said: “The Children’s Hospital Charity is such a worthy cause and we’re proud to be supporting them.
“We will continue to support the charity’s Make It Better campaign in any way possible as it’s vitally important to us that we give as much as possible back to the community.”
The Charity’s Make it Better appeal aims to raise £10m in total by 2016 with a brand new wing featuring plenty of private rooms with parent beds, ample parking, a secure outdoor space and a giant play tower amongst the developments planned.
Tchad Western, corporate fundraiser for the Children’s Hospital Charity, said: “I’d like to thank both John Holland for their continued support.
“Fundraising from companies and individuals makes a huge difference, not just to children in our region but children all over the world and it will have a lasting remit for generations to come as we continue our aim of changing the way the NHS looks after children.”
